This simple modification will reduce or eliminate background noise (buzz/hiss/static/hum) on Stern Pinball games with the Whitestar MPU/Sound board. A 10k ohm adjustable pot (potentiometer) can be added across resistors R106 (backbox sound) and R110 (main cabinet sound). Adjusting these pots should reduce or eliminate background noise to an acceptable level.
