Replacement U6 ROM chip with custom features authored by Oliver Okaegi. This ROM is for select older Bally pinballs (see game listing below). It features a Free Play option, and also has support for running 7-digit score displays (see note below). Replaces original U6 ROM part # 720-3532.
Data and instructions on how to make this ROM yourself are available online here, but if you are not willing/able to do the work yourself, you can purchase one here that is ready-to-go (see notes below).
NOTES:- For use only in the games listed below that have factory-original Bally MPU boards, or aftermarket MPU boards that support individual ROM chips in locations U2 and U6.
- This chip ships as a 2732 EPROM chip, so your board must be set up (jumpered) for 2732 EPROMs in locations U2 and U6 (click here for jumper info)
- If you need a corresponding U2 ROM chip to go along with this U6 chip, contact us with the name of your game.
- If you need a ROM other than a 2732 EPROM, contact us
- For Free Play, set MPU DIP switches 25 and 26 to ON.
- For 7-digit scoring support, set MPU DIP switch 21 to ON (OFF is for 6-digit displays). You will also need to install a 7-digit display for each player, and put together and install a small adapter PC board and modify wiring to your score displays (details here)
- We do not manufacture or sell the necessary adapter PC board for 7-digit scoring, nor do we provide any help/support for making the necessary modifications. These require a high skill level with electronics experience, or help from an qualified technician.
