Looking for IC21, IC22, or IC26? These are obsolete chips that are no longer made. They are now replaced with a single IC14 chip. If you need to replace any of IC21, IC22, or IC26, remove ALL of them and discard, and install a new IC14 chip at location IC14 on your board. See notes below for further details.
Some early boards may not have a chip socket installed at location IC14, in which case you will need to purchase and install one, along with a state-switching capacitor that mounts just below the chip socket. Order our part #s SOC24PINMW and CAP0.1UF50VAXL if you need a chip socket and cap for IC14.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR Flash: - Three (3) ROM chips are required for MPU boards in Flash: IC14, IC17, and IC20. 3-ROM chip sets replace some original 4-ROM chip sets (read below). We have 3-ROM chip sets in versions 0486-2 (early yellow label ROMs) and 1486-1 (later green label ROMs).
- Either 3-chip set will replace original 3-chip or 4-chip sets in Flash.
- If you have an old 4-chip, yellow-label ROM set, our IC17 and IC20 yellow-label ROMs will replace original IC17 and IC20. Our IC14 will replace original IC21 and IC22 chips (remove BOTH IC21 and IC22, install new IC14).
- Chip sockets IC21, IC22, and IC26 must be empty (or absent) when using either of the new 3-chip sets (only IC14, IC17, IC20 are used with the new 3-chip sets).
- The green label chipset version 1486-1 is a later version of the software with some changes in the audits/adjustments. Click here for a listing of ROM revisions and changed audits/adjustments.
- We recommend the yellow label 0486-2 version with constant background sound feature. Set adjustment #33 to '01' with this chip set, to enable background sound.
- Background sound is known to cut-out and come back on once in a while in some games, so no guarantees are made about operation.
- ROMs must be used as a matching set- ie: you cannot mix yellow-label ROMs with green-label ROMs.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ROM JUMPER CHANGES:
Replacement sound ROM for this game is a 2716 EPROM chip and may require jumper changes on sound board, if replacing original PROM chip. See game manual/schematics for jumper settings.
