34 pages. Dated 1/79. Instruction manual for the Stern SAM II Test Fixture system, which was a circuit board / display testing system originally provided by Stern to their distributors for circuit board diagnosis/repair (see notes and reference image below).
The SAM II Test Fixture was designed for circuit boards in electronic Stern pinball machines made between approx. 1977 and 1979, which would accommodate testing of circuit boards/displays in games including Dracula, Hot Hand, Lectronamo, Magic, Memory Lane, Nugent, Pinball (electronic), Stars, Stingray, Trident, and Wild Fyre.
This manual covers operation and testing procedures of the SAM II unit and descriptions of use and testing points/procedures on power board, lamp driver, solenoid/regulator board, sound board (SB-100) and MPU board (MPU-100).
Reprint manual, new condition.
NOTES:- This manual is NOT for specific pinball machines- it is for the SAM II Test Fixture (see image below for example).
- You would need to have a working SAM II Test Fixture in order for this manual to be of any use to you.
- Information in this manual may not apply to the earlier SAM I fixture, or the later SAM III and SAM IV fixtures.
