Opto receiver element (light-activated photo transistor) for opto switch pairs used in some makes/models (SEE NOTES BELOW). This is the element in an opto switch pair that detects infrared light, which is transmitted from the emitter element (infrared LED) mounted across from the receiver. Use with emitter element # OPTO_EMITTER.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Not for use on all models!

Stern Spike System Games: This unit does not work in place of factory receiver optos on late-model Stern Pinball Spike system games (use Stern # 110-6079-00 instead).
Stern Pinball Games (pre-Spike): May not work in place of emitter elements which emit a red light. We recommend replacing these with Stern part # 500-6775-01 instead.
Bally Doctor Who: Can be used in place of all receiver optos on this game, but when replacing the shorter elements on the 5-opto PC board on mini-playfield, washers may need to be used under the board to raise it up off the mounting surface to prevent optos from coming in contact with plastic target stems.

Can be used as replacement for Bally/Williams part #s 42-3382, 5671-14114-00, 5163-14114-00, in most applications (SEE NOTE ABOVE). Replaces receiver element on opto receiver assembly # A-16909 (BLACK unit on Bally/Williams opto pairs).

NOTE: Replacement aftermarket opto elements may differ in color and polarity and/or mounting direction than original parts. We recommend replacement of these elements only by qualified persons with experience in working with electronics, to avoid incorrect replacement that could result in damaging the opto element and/or associated parts. We will not replace opto elements or associated parts that are damaged. No returns, exchanges, or refunds on electronic parts- all sales are final.
