Includes mounting screws. 3-position screw-mountable battery holder for AA size alkaline or rechargeable batteries. Includes 5-inch red and black leads for easy connection to extension wiring or circuit board. Build your own remote-mount battery holder, and get those board-mounted batteries away from that valuable circuit board! Board-mounted batteries and holders can cause damage to valuable/irreplaceable circuit boards if they go neglected and burst/leak onto the board. Locating the batteries off-board with a remote holder avoids this potential problem and ensures the safety of your game!
Use with our 2-pin male/female connector set to make battery holder easily dis-connectable from your board.
NOTE: Replacing a board-mounted rechargeable battery in an older game? If using non-rechargeable (alkaline) AA batteries, you'll also need to install a 1N4004 diode (or equivalent) on the positive lead of the battery holder. This prevents the game from trying to charge the non-rechargeable batteries when power is on (and possibly causing the batteries to burst and leak). Diode mounts on positive lead, with it's cathode (banded) end towards the circuit board.
