New aftermarket reproduction pop bumper assembly for many Bally/Midway games in the 1980s (see game listing below).
Full assembly including orange ring and cap, AN-26-1200 coil with diode, white bumper skirt, lamp socket with wire leads and diode, and switch with diode and capacitor pre-installed.
Installation Notes:- Plug-and-play operation. Just install and properly connect wires, and go!
- Includes capacitor across switch lugs for improved operation.
- Bumper Lamp:
- Includes #555 lamp and socket with wire leads connected to solder lugs.
- Solder lugs have a diode for controlled/switched lamp operation (optional in some games).
- Controlled/Switched Lamp: If your particular game operates the lamp in the bumper as a controlled/switched lamp (goes on/off during game play), then lamp wires need to be connected with respect to diode polarity for proper lamp operation (use your old bumper as reference, or consult your game schematic diagrams for proper wire connections).
- General Illumination Lamp: If your particular game operates the lamp in the bumper as a general-illumination lamp (always ON during play), then lamp wires will connect directly to either solder lug that have lamp socket wires attached to them (ignoring the diode). Diode lug that has no lamp socket wire will remain unconnected (or you can clip the diode out completely as well).
- Switch is pre-adjusted before shipping, but as with any pinball device with a switch, this device may require adjustments to its switch after installation, for proper operation.
- Wires from your game connecting to the switch on this device must be connected properly, with respect to switch diode orientation. Use your old bumper switch for reference, or consult your game schematic diagrams for proper wire connections.
- If you are uncomfortable installing this part, making any adjustments to it, or with making any electrical connections to it, we recommend enlisting the help of a qualified service person to assist you, to ensure proper installation and operation.
