6820 peripheral interface adapter (PIA) chip. 40 pin DIP package.

Found on most vintage Bally, Stern, Williams, Data East, and other games.

Direct replacement for factory part # SC44067P / 7950. Also replaces # MC6820P and similar others.

Performs a variety of pinball tasks including switch matrix drives, solenoid control, lamp control, sounds/audio, and display data output.

Install with 40-pin chip socket (sold separately).
