Includes ferrite bead to reduce radio interference. Used between display driver board and score display unit in many late-model Bally and Williams pinball games. Also replaces discontinued cable # 5795-13434-25.
Common to have to replace this cable when connections in the housings become intermittent from oxidation and/or corrosion from exposure to humidity over long periods (such as on games re-imported from overseas that have been exposed to moisture during shipping from sea water mist). Bad ribbon cable connections can cause erratic game operation- symptoms from no-boot, to flippers/sound cutting out, display issues, sporadic unexplained freak outs, and more. If your game has these symptoms, it may need new ribbon cables.
We strongly recommend using DeOxit anti-oxidant/lubricant compound on the pins that this ribbon cable connects to, to help prevent oxidation and add lubrication that reduces stress on circuit boards when connectors are removed/reseated.
