Plastic clip-in lamp socket for under-playfield lamps in many later-model Sega and Stern Pinball games (see game listing below).

This socket holds a wedge-base lamp or LED, and clips into either flasher lamp housings, or round plastic base on the bottom of playfield.

Wires press in to IDC contacts on back side of socket for easy attachment.

Comes with diode pre-installed.

NOTES:

Wires must be connected to socket with regard to diode orientation, for proper lamp operation. Compare to your old lamp socket for reference.
Installation in Bally/Williams Games: This part can substitute for obsolete sockets in some late-model Bally/Williams games, replacing part #s 24-8861, 22-2162, and 22-2162-1. Installation requires removal of diode from back of socket, and repositioning of 1 wire on back IDC terminals. Or installation of a jumper in place of diode, without repositioning any wires. Compare to your old lamp socket for reference.
LED INSTALLATION: For wedge base LEDs, it is recommended that the wire leads on the base of the LED be bent outward slightly in order to make better contact with the terminals inside the lamp socket. Example image (click to enlarge):
